The conference will take place from 09 to 11 October 2024 in Le Bourget du Lac. Videoconferencing available.

A film debate is organised on Tuesday evenings at 8.30pm at Cinéma l'Astrée, 7 Bd du Théatre, 73000 Chambéry.

A scientific publication is planned to follow the conference in a special issue of the Revue de Géographie Alpine / Journal of Alpine Geography

Accommodation

Many hotels in Aix-les-Bains and Chambéry. A number of accommodation options are available on the AirBnB platform.

Meals

Lunch will be provided by the conference organisers and will be taken on site. Participants are responsible for their own evening meals.

How to get to the campus

The conference will take place in Building Bâtiment C - Pôle Montagne (map of campus).

By plane: From Geneva airport (GVA) or Lyon Saint Exupéry airport (LYS). Chambéry can also be reached by bus (Blablacar Bus, for example) or by train (TER).

By car: From Chambéry, take the VRU then the direction of Le Bourget-du-Lac. Follow Technolac. From Aix-les-Bains, take the D1201 towards Chambéry, then towards Le Bourget-du-Lac, and follow Technolac.

By train: Chambéry station. Direct trains from Paris , Lyon , Grenoble , Annecy , Valence and Geneva. Then bus or bike.

By bike from Chambéry: From the centre or station of Chambéry, take the Avenue Verte Nord. Parking is available under the gallery leading to the library.

By bus

• From Chambéry: Take the SYNCHRO bus line A towards "Technolac" or "Plage". Stop at "Université Bourget" and go to Bâtiment 3 - Pôle Montagne (large red building). To return: take line A towards "Université Jacob" and stop at Gare.
• From Aix-les-Bains station: take the ONDEA bus line 01 towards "Gare SNCF1 / Technolac INSEEC" and stop at "Université Bourget". To return: take the 01 bus towards "Pont rouge" and stop at "Arrêt Gare SNCF 3".
